Ensuring Data Integrity

COS Business Engine ensures data integrity through a robust framework of thousands of built-in validations and cross-checks. These are designed to maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data across all operational areas.

Here’s how COS Business Engine achieves this:

  1. Automated Validation on Input: The system performs a wide range of validations during data entry, ensuring that only accurate data enters the system. For example, it validates address data, service availability, and network element statuses to ensure consistency.
  2. Continuous Data Quality Monitoring: In addition to real-time validations, ongoing cross-checks are executed in the background to detect any discrepancies in provisioned services, address data, or network elements. The Provisioning Dashboard highlights these discrepancies, allowing administrators to correct issues promptly, which helps prevent revenue leakage.
  3. Zero Touch Provisioning and Automation: Through zero-touch provisioning, all services are automatically activated and monitored. This level of automation reduces human errors while cross-checks ensure that all the data related to service activations, customer accounts, and billing are consistent and accurate.
  4. Network Synchronization: COS Business Engine integrates with network management systems to synchronize network elements, continuously cross-referencing live network statuses with the stored database. This helps in keeping real-time data integrity for service availability, subscriber information, and network element statuses.
  5. Field Operations and Documentation: The system allows field technicians to document work completed, including scanning ONTs, uploading images, and logging completion statuses. These actions are also validated against real-time network data to ensure that the work corresponds to the live system state.
