COS Fiber Flow is the operational system of record for a fiber network. Orders arrive, services activate, ports provision, invoices go out, and the operator sees the state of the network in real time. One platform rather than five integrations.
It was built for the Nordic municipal model, where a network owner runs open infrastructure and multiple service providers sell across it. That model is spreading. Wholesale consolidation in the UK and open access growth in North America produce the same operational shape: one network, many retail brands, shared infrastructure, and contested responsibility for the subscriber.

Most fiber operators inherit a mix. A PON build in the new districts, Active Ethernet in the older ones, and two provisioning workflows to match.
COS Fiber Flow provisions Active Ethernet. COS Business Engine and COS Wholesale Engine cover PON. Together the portfolio spans both access technologies, so an operator running a mixed estate does not need a separate system per technology.
For operators outside Sweden this closes a real gap. Active Ethernet provisioning has typically been manual work or a bespoke integration. It does not have to be.

Automations are built in Blockly and Python, inside the platform, at no additional licence cost. Views and menus are customised with HTML and JavaScript to match how your team works. Provisioning, configuration, monitoring and fault handling are all automatable this way.
The event system controls what happens and when. A monitoring event dispatches a message to a technician. An order triggers activation, notifies the service provider and opens a work order, in sequence. You define the chain.
Operators tell us this is the part that matters most. It removes the dependency on individual key people. The knowledge lives in the automation rather than in one engineer’s head.
Metabase connects directly to the COS Fiber Flow database. Build your own dashboards against live operational data.
The questions operators ask first: what is our ARPU, and how many premises have a connection but no active subscription? Both are one query away. So are provisioning throughput, fault volumes, operational status and the commercial KPIs a board asks about.
This is direct database access with a BI layer on top. Not a fixed reporting module answering the questions someone else chose.

Pricing follows utilisation. You are not charged for ports sitting unused in a network you have not filled yet.
