Analyze your Network

Provisioning Dashboard

If you’re using automated provisioning via one of our partners, our provisioning dashboard gives you an overview of the status of the services on your network.

The integration with COS Business Engine keeps track of your network and the services that have been provisioned, should be provisioned, or should be canceled but haven’t been terminated yet.

For example, it lets you know quickly how many services are activated even though they are missing a contract or how many services are still active, even though the service has been canceled.

Provisioning Dashboard: Streamlining Service Activation and Management

The Provisioning Dashboard in the COS Business Engine is a centralized tool that simplifies the process of activating, managing, and monitoring broadband services. Designed for efficiency and transparency, the dashboard provides operators with real-time visibility into service provisioning activities and ensures seamless onboarding for new customers. Here’s an overview of how it works and the value it provides:

1. Centralized Service Management

The Provisioning Dashboard serves as the hub for all provisioning activities, allowing operators to:

  • View and manage service activation requests.
  • Monitor the status of provisioning tasks in real-time.
  • Resolve errors or bottlenecks quickly to ensure smooth service delivery.

With everything in one place, operators can oversee the entire provisioning process at a glance.

2. Real-Time Service Activation

The dashboard integrates with the COS Business Engine’s Zero-Touch Provisioning feature, enabling automatic activation of services. When a customer selects a service from the marketplace or the customer portal, the dashboard:

  • Instantly provisions the selected service to the customer’s ONT or other network hardware.
  • Configures bandwidth, VLANs, and other settings based on the service package.

This automated approach minimizes delays and ensures a positive customer experience.

3. Intuitive Status Tracking

The dashboard displays the current status of each provisioning task, categorized for easy tracking:

  • Pending: Tasks awaiting action or scheduled for future activation.
  • In Progress: Tasks being processed, such as network configuration or hardware activation.
  • Completed: Successfully provisioned services.
  • Error/Failed: Tasks that encountered issues, with detailed error logs for troubleshooting.

This clear status overview helps operators quickly identify and address issues, reducing downtime and delays.

4. Integrated Troubleshooting Tools

When issues arise during the provisioning process, the dashboard provides diagnostic data and troubleshooting options:

  • Error Logs: Detailed error messages and timestamps to pinpoint the problem.
  • Device Diagnostics: Real-time data from ONTs and other network equipment to verify connectivity and configuration.
  • Manual Overrides: Operators can manually adjust settings or reattempt provisioning directly from the dashboard.

These tools empower operators to resolve issues quickly without escalating to multiple teams.

5. Bulk Provisioning for Efficiency

For large-scale deployments, the dashboard supports bulk provisioning, enabling operators to:

  • Activate services for multiple customers or locations simultaneously.
  • Upload service configurations in bulk using predefined templates.
  • Monitor progress for each task in the batch to ensure accuracy.

This feature is particularly useful during the rollout of new service areas or large customer migrations.

6. Historical Data and Reporting

The Provisioning Dashboard logs all provisioning activities, creating a historical record that can be used for:

  • Analyzing trends in service activations and troubleshooting.
  • Generating reports for internal performance tracking or regulatory compliance.
  • Identifying recurring issues to improve processes and reduce errors.

This wealth of data supports data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

7. Enhanced Customer Experience

With its automated processes, real-time tracking, and quick troubleshooting capabilities, the Provisioning Dashboard significantly reduces the time it takes to activate services. Customers experience:

  • Faster service delivery with minimal waiting time.
  • Fewer disruptions due to errors during activation.
  • Greater transparency when contacting support, as operators can instantly access their provisioning status.
