Platform capabilities

Capabilities across the network lifecycle

COS Systems runs the commercial and operational side of a fiber network: selling services, building and activating them, then operating and billing for them. Every capability below belongs to one of those three stages.

The lifecycle

01

Sell

Demand aggregation · Marketplace · Service offering

02

Build and activate

Installation · Service activation · Field operations

03

Operate and bill

Customer portal · Billing · Ticketing · Support

Across all of it: APIs and integrations.

How do subscribers find and buy service?

Demand is collected by address before construction, then converted through a storefront or a rep in the field. Starting in the right area is critical to achieving high take rates and to the financial viability of a deployment.

Demand aggregation

Broadband Survey

Assess local demand for Fiber-to-the-Home with a broadband user survey in COS Business Engine.

Demand aggregation

Identify which areas have the highest demand, and where the most motivated potential customers are located.

Take Rate Campaigns

Set the target take rate an area has to reach before build-out starts.

Champion Campaign

The target take rate sparks conversations among neighbours, generating organic word-of-mouth.

Pre-Sign-Up

Survey data tells you who your customers are and what they want, before service exists.

Marketplace

COS Marketplace

Integrated within COS Business Engine, it powers a standardized buyflow for multi-provider broadband networks.

Address Search

Streamlines the process for customers to find their location quickly and accurately.

Promotions

Run trackable campaigns across your fiber footprint: welcome offers, seasonal deals and bundles.

COS Prospector

Search addresses, choose services and place orders in minutes, right from the field.

Service offering and open access

Service plans by area

Differentiate plans across markets and submarkets based on competition, demand and deployment costs.

Broadband Labels

Give customers clear detail on speed, pricing and contract terms alongside each plan.

How does an order become live service?

An order moves to activation without manual re-entry. Where a visit is needed, the installation workflow carries the address, hardware and connection detail the technician needs.

Installation workflow

Installation Workflow

An integrated engine that standardizes installations from initial order through service activation.

Address and hardware connections

Hold the link between every address and the hardware serving it.

Service activation

Zero-Touch Provisioning

Turns “buy” into “live” in minutes.

Service Activation

Self-service is the key to efficient network operations, particularly in an Open Access environment.

Provisioning Dashboard

An overview of the status of the services on your network when provisioning runs through a partner.

Field operations

COS FSM

Dispatch technicians, track jobs and close them against the subscriber record.

How is the network operated and billed?

Routine changes stay with the subscriber. Billing runs off live service status, and on a shared network the same data settles revenue between the network owner and each ISP.

Customer portal

Customer portal

Puts control in the hands of customers, letting them manage their broadband services themselves.

Disruption Notifications

Makes it easier to manage and communicate network outages.

Automated billing

Automated Billing

Billing for ISP, hybrid, open access and wholesale networks, tied to orders, provisioning and live service status.

Subscriber Billing

If you run the network as a single provider, bill your end customers directly.

Tax Calculator

Set tax rates and tie them to features, based on where the subscriber address is located.

Wholesale billing

Billing in Open Access Networks is complex, given the roles between operators, ISPs and subscribers.

Ticketing and troubleshooting

Ticketing

The ticketing module has grown well beyond issue logging.

Diagnostic Data

Optimize performance and support proactive maintenance and troubleshooting across the network.

Across all of it: APIs and integrations

Four capabilities sit outside the three stages. They are how the rest stay consistent with each other, and with the systems already running around them.

APIs and integrations

REST endpoints and real-time webhooks connecting provisioning, order management and network operations.

Reporting

Supports a wide range of users across multiple organizations and roles.

Data Integrity

Thousands of built-in validations and cross-checks.

Super Search

Find customer data, orders and system settings from one search field.

See it against your own network

A demo runs against a live configuration rather than slides. Bring your build plan, your service catalogue, or your ISP arrangements.

Questions operators ask

Where do I start if I do not know which product I need?

Start on the Our Solution page. It matches products to operator type and business model. This page answers the other question: whether a specific capability exists and which stage it belongs to.

Do we have to take the whole platform?

No. The three stages describe how the capabilities relate to each other, not a purchasing requirement. Operators commonly start in one stage and extend into the others.

Does COS replace our existing billing or CRM?

Not necessarily. The API layer connects COS to systems already in place. On a wholesale network, ISPs keep their own billing, brand and subscribers.

Can subscribers manage their own services without contacting support?

Yes. The customer portal lets subscribers change plans, update payment details and book appointments themselves, which keeps routine traffic out of the support queue.

What does demand aggregation actually produce?

A view of interest by address, grouped into areas with a target take rate for each. Operators use it to sequence construction and to evidence demand in funding applications.

Can field sales and online orders coexist?

Yes. COS Prospector writes orders into the same subscriber record as COS Marketplace, so an address ordered at the door and one ordered online follow the same activation path.
