Service Activation Module – Subscribers Online in Seconds

The key to efficient network operations is self-service, particularly in an Open Access environment. The zero-touch service provisioning functionality of COS Business Engine allows your subscribers to select and activate services directly through your online Marketplace, with 100% automation for both the network operator and the service provider. This creates an unmatched customer experience—subscribers can easily upgrade from 100 Mbps to 1 Gig with just a click.

Integrations with Leading Hardware Vendors

The COS Business Engine features a vendor-neutral provisioning API, enabling automated service provisioning across your network. Our partnerships with leading hardware vendors such as Nokia and Calix ensure compatibility and seamless integration, and we are continually expanding our portfolio of supported vendors and Element Management Systems (EMS). The multi-network operation functionality within COS Business Engine allows you to use different vendors across various networks while maintaining automation.

Optimized for Open Access and Wholesale Environments

In an Open Access environment, where multiple service providers operate on the same infrastructure, COS Business Engine ensures a near-native experience for providers. Although they don’t have direct access to your EMS system, each provider can view diagnostics data from their own customers and monitor the performance of their services. In a full wholesale environment, where services may not be marketed directly to end-users via a Marketplace, providers can still automatically provision services through integration with the COS Business Engine API.

Preventing Free-Surfers

The integration with the EMS platform allows COS Business Engine to continuously monitor network provisioning, ensuring no discrepancies between active service orders and what is actually provisioned. A common issue in manually managed networks is that when a customer cancels their subscription, the de-provisioning instructions may not reach the network technicians, allowing the customer to continue using services for free. COS Business Engine detects and flags these inconsistencies in real-time, highlighting them on the provisioning dashboard, ensuring accurate billing and service management.
